“Discipline yourself and others won’t need to.” – John Wooden

Wooden always said true success demands constant effort, but that requires a lot of discipline.

Discipline is putting in the work necessary to accomplish a goal. It means practicing when no one is there to tell you to.

It is the relentless pursuit to succeed even when things are hard and you begin to struggle.

Bradley’s “Values of the Game” gets right to the point saying, if you’re not practicing now, just remember: someone, somewhere, is practicing! That means when you two meet, given roughly equal ability, they are bound to outscore you.

So remind your kids to keep at it even when it’s hard, the payoff in both confidence and skill is priceless!  And sign them up for Hoopstarz Basketball programs to develop these skills in a fun environment!
